Sum Revision Privacy Policy

In short: Sum Revision does not collect, store or share any of your personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your work stays on your iPad.
Sum Revision is an iPad revision app made by Vaughan Mitchell (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what information the app uses and what happens to it.
Information the app uses on your iPad
To keep your place and show your progress, Sum Revision saves on your iPad:
- the quizzes and practice exams you start, with the marks or grades you give yourself and the time taken;
- the working you write on the screen with Apple Pencil or your finger;
- which notes you have marked as read; and
- your settings, such as the papers you sit and your preferred paper style.
This information is stored only on your iPad. It is not sent anywhere, and I cannot see it.
Purchases
Sum Revision offers a one-time in-app purchase, Unlock everything. Purchases are made and processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. Apple tells the app only whether the purchase has been made, so that it can unlock the content. I do not receive your name, email address, payment details or any other information about you. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.
What is shared
Nothing. Apart from Apple’s purchase system, Sum Revision does not use the internet: all its notes, questions and maths typesetting are built in. I do not receive, collect or have access to any of your data, and I do not sell or share information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
Backups
Like other apps, Sum Revision’s data is included in your iPad’s backups (iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer), depending on how you have set up your device. Those backups are handled by Apple under your Apple Account settings.
Apple
Sum Revision is downloaded through Apple’s App Store, which Apple runs under its own privacy policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give me crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you.
Deleting your information
Deleting the app removes everything it has stored from your iPad. Your purchase stays with your Apple Account, so you can restore it if you reinstall.
Students and children
Sum Revision is designed for secondary school students. It does not collect information from anyone, including children, and it has no accounts, chat, advertising or links to social media.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
